Bermuda Carnival Cruise Vacation..........

In September we went on a cruise to Bermuda; it was a Carnival Cruise on the Fantasy ship embarking from Charleston, SC........embarking from our home town was fabulous! On previous cruises my husband and I would drive 8+ hours to Florida's cruise terminal which meant that would also have to drive that same distance back home after sailing the beautiful carribbean. We are so happy that some of the cruises now leave from Charleston. :)

Here are a few pictures from our vacation....Bermuda was lovely but I have to admit that it's not my favorite destination because it's very very low key with not very much 'going on' other than gorgeous torquoise blue water and interesting architecture. Maybe I feel this way because I live in Charleston, and Charleston is a beautiful place with palmetto trees, historic architecture and plenty of beaches...although....we don't have the torquoise blue water. Anyway, we had a wonderful time on vacation; the weather was perfect and all of the friends and family that went with us were fun to be with.

Thanks for stopping in....thanks for any comments you left to this post.... Have a magnificent day!
Big hugs....Much love & peace....

The Loss of a Genius - Steve Jobs

I've never met Steve Jobs but feel the loss of this great man. So many adjectives could be used to describe him.

Innovational goes without even writing a word...It's quite obvious that 'inovational' is used to accent Steve Jobs' life....the company he co-founded, Apple, opened a door to the future with iPhones and iPads and much much more to follow. I, for one, couldn't imagine life without my wonderful little Smart Phone. It's so much more than a phone to me...it occupies my time with games & the Internet while I'm waiting to be seen for an appointment.

Inspirational for sure! Mr Jobs fought pancreatic cancer for 7 years...an amazing feat in itself...and he worked during that 7 years. My husband received chemotherapy for 9 months and I know how sick and weak he was during that battle of his so I know how determined Steve Jobs was to be receiving treatment for his cancer and still work.

Inspirational also because he didn't quit...he stayed focused and pushed forward. As a matter of fact, I believe that Steve Jobs pushed forward so hard and so fast that he stayed 2 steps ahead of his pancreatic cancer....the cancer just couldn't catch up to his spirit enough to engulf him as quickly as it does in most cases.

The world is a better place, the way we work is very different, teaching is done differently all because we can click a mouse or send a message across the oceans in a matter of seconds via the Internet. Steve Jobs, thank you for all that you've brought to us....thank  you so very much!
